this funk.

i'm in a funk. you know when you're not quite yourself, and it's not really something you can solve overnight, but it's also not something you need to call scotland yard about? yeah, i'm in one of those.

and i'm only writing this because i'm convinced i'm not the only one out there feeling this way.

i need to move to the mediterranean or something, because this winter crap is not for me. which i think is hilarious since i've ALWAYS had winter in my life. but winter with kids in the city is HARD. and i guess it's extra annoying because i'm not quite myself at the moment (physically).

this little helper has made my winter 1000 times better, but also harder in many ways. suddenly i have this busy toddler on my hands who requires entertainment. and i'm happy to provide it, but my energy levels are depleted! although my creativity levels are at an all time high, at some point my ideas have to run out right?! then what? we just sit and stare at the wall... ??

sammy pants (that's his name, so let's start calling him that) will be here in 2 weeks and i'm just filling  time with whatever activity i can find. walks outside are still in the frozen tundra, but at least we're busy and getting exercise, right??

how do women get pregnant more than one time and still keep it together?? my mom did this 5 times. my grandma 7. my mother-in-law 6. like weren't you exhausted all the time?! anytime i bend over to pick up this girl, it's accompanied with a huge grunt and pants. i'm just dying to bend over and not have a huge bump in my way. or to sit on the ground and be able to pop right back up. ya know???

and MAJOR props to women who do this whole thing alone. i've been thinking about that this month as i've really slowed down and have depended more on this guy. he makes it so much easier to be 38 weeks pregnant with a toddler, but not all women have that! i'm just so blessed and want to give all single moms a hug. if you're reading this and you're a single mom, i'm hugging you right now:)

so although i'm in this funk right now where i don't love my body, i don't love my lack of energy, and i don't love being pregnant period... i don't want to sound ungrateful. because sammy pants is already loved so much and i cannot wait to cry my eyes out over another little slimy newborn.

so just get here already, baby! then all of our problems will be solved and we'll finally have another little body to smother with love.

a huge shout out to all of our friends who have helped us out lately! we've had numerous offers for free babysitting and help with remzer. we've had meals set up for when he arrives, which i'm like so grateful for! making and delivering meals here is such a hassle. it's no small feat.

life is good, friends. it's hard, and i'm feeling a little unlike myself right now, but overall, it's very good. so good, we're going to take a little break from writing for few weeks. at least until sammy pants gets here and we've had a little bit of time to enjoy those tiny toes. thanks again for all your support! we feel it everyday and are so grateful.

until sammy's here safe and sound....
