life lately:
>> she's become quite good at "alone time." almost too good in fact. most of the time i find myself missing her too much and wanting to play with her!
>> the MET, darling, the MET...
>> just call us the beanie babies.
>> that one time when i foolishly paid to go see modern "art." call me naive and young, but this was the only good piece there.
>> oh and i guess the metallic giant droppings, were okay, too.
>> oh, ma, you doofus, put it in ma mouth, not my nose!
>> just being extra safe in the bath these days.
>> these two in the pool are just a dream to watch. she is pretty much a little 9 month old dolphin, and we couldn't be more pleased.
>> telling him about all of her life goals and dreams....
>> well that escalated quickly! "MORE BUBBLES! I SAID MORE!!"
>> OH, and that time when this happened... i'm convinced that manhattan needs a big plastic bubble over the city january/february that is pumping in warm air and the sweet smells of hibiscus flowers. now THAT'S where i want to see my tax dollars go. TAKE MA MONEY!
>> sorry if this makes you gag, but seriously it was just too good to keep to myself! he had the ends tucked into the briefcase so it didn't drag on the ground! genius!! (SCOFFS....)
>> can i just tell you how in love i am with this new "explore everything" stage of childhood?? i can't get enough.
>> you probably feel like i talk about the weather a lot... but that's because i do. people get the BIGGEST kick when they see these little eyes peeking out. i can't tell you how many times people stop me to give this little girl a "squeeze." occasionally i have to use my judgement and pretend i didn't hear them, quickly walking the other way.... hey, this is new york!
>> yesterday i thought it would be a good idea to go downtown to the seaport. when we left the apartment: no snow. when we emerged from the subway: blizzard. now, naturally with no umbrellas, no shelter and snow pelting our faces... we grabbed some doughnuts from the famous doughnuttery. and as always, they didn't disappoint.

well, alas, my sweet friends and family, we are off to relax on this wonderful sabbath day. what a delight to have a day set aside as a day of rest.
a day of rest, and we feel so blessed.
now there's a rhyme for the books!
