^^ p.s. if you have any interest in this special unicorn drink being served this month at starbucks, put it out of your mind. hours later this girl vomited some crazy neon shades of pink:/
right across the street from my building is the bus stop. it's so convenient! i was headed to a party, so makeup all done, clean clothes, food in hand (mormons always bring food:). the bus was just pulling up, so i decided to jay-walk and run to get there before it left! well as i squeezed between two parked cars and entered the street, i turned to see a delivery guy on a bike coming towards me! going against traffic, so totally out of place! well i realized that we were moments from collision so i veered just as the guy veered (good idea, but bad when you both have it).
he got me and he got me good. my food bag went flying over my head and i fell flat into the street. i was just laying there thinking "the ground is so dirty..." haha. well i got up and the delivery guy was just getting up but he was holding his shin. so i thought "oh dang, he's going to sue me for jay-walking." cause people here do dumb stuff like that. so i quickly apologized!
"i'm so sorry! are you okay??"
"yes, i'm okay? are you?"
"yes." only my ego was not... haha
"okay, sorry i was riding the wrong way."
"haha, well i was jay-walking. so i guess we're both at fault."
"i guess so..."
"okay, well bye!"
and i ran off to catch the bus that was no longer there. wah-wah. although i wasn't hurt physically, my ego definitely was. i couldn't even look around to see who else saw... because then i'd be more embarrassed!!
but now, i wish i could really see a replay of that whole scene. i was laughing so hard later telling secret, so i know i'd die laughing now. what a joke. you can bet i haven't since and never will again jay-walk:)
