fried chicken, ya'll.

just butter my butt and call me a biscuit, but i was a little southern belle over the weekend. it was our last adventure until the itch starts back up again, and boy was it different than any other adventure we've had! thanks to good ole jet blue, we snagged a $60 flight to Savannah, GA for the weekend. i know,.someone yesterday said "what's in savannah....?" well... not much... but i did learn a lot about the south. please allow a recount through pictures:

>> when we arrived, it was hotter than the blue blazes and the humidity was just CRAZY. but on this day it rained like a real frog wash. we forgot our umbrellas and so we used the stroller cover to protect our perfectly coiffed hair (lol, just LOL)!

>> this little one was such a champion! she just happily tagged along with us wherever we went and because it was so warm and humid she slept like a charm....

>> our good friends the O's came with us and we all went to dinner at the olde pink house. it was a legit southern dinner in a legit southern home. secret got fried pork chops and Z (our friend) was served an entire fish- like skin and EVERYTHING. we were all full as a tick afterwards.

>> a little walk through the ole cemetery deserves some good ole southern music. you're welcome;)

>> and so our story concludes! savannah was truly a beautiful city, but i don't know how we would've entertained ourselves for more than 3 days. i also had the opportunity to have a conversation with my friend and secret about education and motherhood that gave me lots to think about and left me feeling very grateful! i sure am blessed to have the opportunity to be a mother. although i might not be done with school yet, i don't have any regrets in regards to the choices i've made that have influenced my school career. i have never been happier than i am now! although i'm looking forward to getting my degree at some point, for now i'm perfectly content. perfectly content.
