i call this: the golf wife.

happy saturday everyone!! wherever you are, i hope you are able to look outside your window and be filled with joy that it's yet another, beautiful, productive saturday! i LOVE saturdays, because it means i have all day to spend being productive. i mean after growing up singing the following song, could you think about anything else on a saturday?!?!?

saturday is a special day, it's the day we get ready for sunday.
we clean the house and we shop at the store, (true, true, i do do that)
so we won’t have to work until monday; (oh yeah, that's what i'm sayin')
we brush our clothes and we shine our shoes, (oh shoot, do we??)
and we call it our”get-the-work-done” day;
then we trim our nails and we shampoo our hair, (um, idk about that part...)
so we can be ready for sunday!

(thank you primary for getting that song stuck in my head for eternity. i'm pretty sure it was on purpose.)

[anyway] i really love saturday! BUT yesterday - i was trying to put together an outfit that was like <mature> but <springy> but <classy> but <not too old>. and i came up with this>>>>>>

the golf wife. secret and i were going to the driving range for our date and so it was only appropriate.

 

very simple make-up. i've been skipping the foundation and just using concealer. i think my skin is really improving!

secret thought the golf club was an appropriate addition. i always appreciate his contributions;)

 

 

striped shirt: forever21. chambray shirt: nordstroms. jeans: jcrew (on sale now!!!) bag and shoes: target.

 

i love mixing stripes with other prints! and i feel like this is my season, since stripes mixed with florals and patterns is all the hype these days:)

 

so today, right after this, i'm going to sit down and finish  my sewing project! YAY!! it's been sitting next to my bed for 2 months and i want to wear it to secrets graduation in june (i'm a little nervous about it though, as every other wife will be wearing some normal dress from bloomingdales, and i'll be wearing a homemade  dress from the 50's. can you say: weirdo?? but i love it).
