a week in pictures.

the week started off at the san francisco airport at 8am. we were supposed to fly to seattle then on to spokane for my father-in-laws surprise retirement party. we got to SFO and the kiosk said "flight cancelled". (secret HATES stuff like this, i'm indifferent and see it as part of the adventure) so long story short, a bird hit the plane and left it beyond repair. so everyone on our flight had to be shuttled 40 min away to san jose to catch a different flight to seattle. BUT our flight from seattle to spokane was ALSO cancelled. so once we got there we had to either drive to our destination (coeur d'alene, ID) or hope a flight had popped up. MADNESS- if you ask me!

well we found secrets brother wandering around seattle airport (also in the same predicament) and we luckily got a flight to spokane, rented a car and drove to idaho! we had a lovely weekend with all of secrets siblings!

we cleverly hid behind our menus waiting for papa secret to come- then we yelled "surprise".

 

he LOVES to copy my outfits. which is cute. until you hear 600 jokes about going square dancing...

 

a LOVELY day on the boat! when i get the action shots of me on the tube- i'll share those!

 

all the family (6 kids + spouses and 7 children) on the boat!

on a different note: i have a weird habit of sleep talking and wandering. so one morning i woke up with my pillow case missing off the pillow i was sleeping on AND the furnace on. obviously secret thought it was only hilarious...

 

 

 

 on my way into the city this week i saw this billboard and it truly makes me so proud! i am a huge advocate for the national parks in utah. they are AMAZING! i mean that grand canyon?? so grand..

this was secrets late night snack last night... don't we all wish we had our own personal half of a watermelon? so lucky!
